William Richard "Bill" Frisell (natural March 18, 1951) is an American jazz guitarist. He is, along by having John Scofield and Pat Metheny, one of the right-known & peradventure right-regarded jazz guitar player of the previous decade.
Frisell was natural within Baltimore, Maryland. He spend virtually all of his youth in the Denver Colorado locality & attend University of Northern Colorado for music. Numbers of more albums sustaining big ensembles were recordes by owning this class action when a core. In the 1980's he sleep in New York City and was an active participant in the city's thriving music scene. He forged an early partnership by using John Zorn—including as a member of quick-vary band Naked City—and performed or recorded by using numerous others.
In the mid-1990s, Frisell disbanded his quartet and moved to Seattle, Washington. He began incorporating other explicitly various elements of bluegrass, country music and related forms into his music. Frisell performs typically by having Future York City violinist Jenny Scheinman. He as well periodically plays inside the trio by having Joe Lovano and Paul Motian.
For his album Unspeakable, Frisell won a 2005 Grammy Award for Right Contemporary Jazz Album.
